navajo trip 2011

so i've been gone for like 2 weeks or something and i will tell you why, its because i went on a missions trip with the youth group to arizona, to the navajo indian reservation! there is soo much that happened, i wouldn't even know where to begin. but i will just say that God worked so much in my heart & i feel so loved after that trip, its crazy.

one of the best moments (ofmylife) happened when we were there. there was this navajo lady named louva and she came with her three daughters & son in-law and they all told us stories from when they were growing up and such. & they were selling the jewelry that they make, made with real silver & turquoise & other gems. & so i got this bracelet from them 

and the best moment is this: i went up to the daughter in the purple & her husband and i was talking to them for a little while and they asked me what tribe i am from (!) and that i look native american!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they for real asked that! and it just was the happiest moment for me, & the biggest compliment i have ever received. 

also, i saw the grand canyon for the first time and i cried. also, it literally took my breath away. it was so beautiful and HUGE and i do not understand how ANYONE can say there is no God when they see something like that.

overall, a great trip. God's love was shown & felt by a lot of people & that is such a beautiful thing.

kopecky family band

i will say that this band has quickly become one of my favorites. their live sessions are amazing as well as their regular songs (buy them on itunes!)  also watch this video. they played in urban outfitters in nashville, how much trendier can you get!? but really. they're so good.

kinfolk

ok this is seriously the greatest idea ever, i absolutely love it.

kinfolk is a magazine/production/idea composed of people that all have a general interest in small gatherings of friends and togetherness!?!? i don't know how you make a magazine about that but they did and its the sweetest. full of art and love and nature and best friends.  check out the site here!

the blog of artemis & nao. the sweetest couple. i saw their wedding on 1000 layer cake i think over a year ago and i became instantly in love with this blog. she has the best job ever! and they are such a sweet happy couple, i love it.

the 2nd is belle fleur de lis. its all about plants and flowers and trees and nature and the girl who is in charge has the prettiest red hair ever.
